happy burpday bloggiee ! :P

I know it’s lame header for a blog post..rather very childish..but who gives a damn !

I never knew that I’d go such strong will have a nice response !!

thank you all  🙂

two incidents

Incident 1

Yesterday, at my regular visit to college gate for chai. I was slurping chai and I saw a man, 50-ish, cleaning out all those plastic bags, empty Balaji wafer packets and cigarette butts. Apparently I was inside the college premises and chai is delivered through the bars of the gate. The guy was removing all the weed that have grown after recent rains.

He was perspiring and apparently only one to clear such a vast area. So I offered to buy him chai.

“No thanks, I’ll buy with my own earned money !! ” he replied.

I was moved by this answer. A single cutting chai doesn’t cost more than 5 rupees. Yet he was so “imaandaar” that he simply denied the offer !!

I salute such people !!

Incident 2

Again while slurping chai I experienced something disturbing. The Kitli { Tapri for mumbaians} owner was making tea and some random customer came. The owner asked “chhotu” to serve tea to that guy. Chhotu gave him tea and a cigarette. After a while he discuss something with the person sitting next to him. Although i was least interested in what they were talking about. But i could figure out that they were talking about “chhotu”.

I was done with my tea so i went there to pay and heard him saying

“ye bachho log ko khana hi dena bandh karr dena chahiye, tabhi ye saley kaam kartey hai”

“din mein sirf 2 baar hi khana dena chahiye, toh thi unki akal thikane ati hai”

I was shocked to hear this and more sad that people still have such bullshit mentality!!? That kid works there since morning 7 to night 11. That is fucking 16 hour job. And that heartless man says he should be given food only twice a day !! How pitiful.

I really wanted to slap that man so hard at that moment.

{This happened later in the evening, venue had changed}

Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we will redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance …. We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again.”

This is what Nehru said in 1947. Let’s not talk about it..just consider it as just another quote. Coz to be frank it doesn’t matter anymore. The only thing matters is “us” {not united states}. Being the youth of this country what have I done to my country !?

I know it’s very easy to write all that crap {which I’m not going to..coz every1 knows everything}

So, I just want to say that “DO” something that can change a life. It doesn’t matter if that’s your life. Change..improvise..think..explore..take chances..execute. I’d really suggest that do something which can bring smile to face(s). It can be as simple as smiling at a stranger or helping some1 to cross the road. It doesnt matter how small is your act. But trust me it counts. Later it’s gonna be helpful. Directly, indirectly..doesn’t matter !! Most important thing I really want to convey to youth is to leave hypocrisy and poser-ism.

It’s good, in fact great, to explore new things..but there should be something innovative in it. Influenced by something is allowed but copying is totally disgrace. Here I’m talking about the musical aspect but I’ve seen this frequently in almost every field !! And this is for me as well. I, myself, somewhat doesn’t fit into it !!

anyway, happy independence day !! Hope you all go for flag hoisting tomorrow. It’s something that you should never miss. Trust me, It’s been 10 years since I’ve never missed any flag hoisting in my school..although I’m no more part of the school, yet i’ll be there for sure.

I’m posting our national anthem below. But I really suggest that you buffer the video before playing and please please please stand up when it’s been played. No matter if there’s no1 watching you around, you are alone in your room whatever..under any circumstances you MUST stand up and stand in “sawdhan” position. Just like our JAWAANs. If you can’t do this then plz don’t play the anthem !!

pearls of wisdom

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bullshit, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute - I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."
